By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use our Services.

Beyond Boundaries is a platform that connects mentors and mentees in the tech industry. We are committed to fostering inclusive and productive mentorship relationships that help individuals grow in their tech careers.

Use of Our Services

Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Not be prohibited from using our Services under applicable law
• Meet the selection criteria for participating as a mentor or mentee, as applicable

Account Creation

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.

Acceptable Use

When using our Services, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or these Terms
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
• Engage in any harassment, bullying, abuse, or harmful behavior toward other users

Mentorship Programme

Mentors

If you are accepted as a mentor in our programme, you agree to:

• Provide honest and accurate information about your professional background and expertise
• Commit to the time expectations outlined in the programme guidelines
• Engage constructively and respectfully with your mentee(s)
• Maintain the confidentiality of discussions with your mentee(s)
• Adhere to our Code of Conduct and other programme policies

Mentees

If you are accepted as a mentee in our programme, you agree to:

• Provide honest and accurate information about your background, goals, and expectations
• Participate actively in the mentorship relationship
• Respect your mentor's time and boundaries
• Maintain the confidentiality of discussions with your mentor
• Adhere to our Code of Conduct and other programme policies
• Pay any applicable programme fees when due

Matching Process

While we make efforts to create suitable matches between mentors and mentees, we do not guarantee the success of any mentorship relationship. If you believe your match is not working well, please contact us to discuss the situation.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any mentorship relationship if we determine, in our sole discretion, that it is not productive or violates our policies.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

The content on our website and in our programme materials, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is owned by Beyond Boundaries or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with your use of our Services.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display through our Services ("Your Content"). By providing Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display Your Content in connection with our Services.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that Your Content does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

Payments and Refunds

Some of our Services may require payment of fees. All fees are stated in the currency specified and exclude any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

We use third-party payment processors to process payments. By making a payment, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these processors.

Our refund policy is as follows:

• If you cancel your participation before being matched with a mentor, you are eligible for a full refund minus administrative fees.
• If you cancel after being matched but before your first mentorship session, you are eligible for a partial refund as specified in your programme agreement.
• Once you have begun your mentorship sessions, refunds are generally not available except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beyond Boundaries and our directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use our Services
• Any conduct or content of any third party on our Services
• Any content obtained from our Services
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law in the jurisdiction in which you use our Services.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Beyond Boundaries and our directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to mediation in accordance with the rules of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

If the dispute is not resolved through mediation, it may be resolved through arbitration or litigation as appropriate under the laws of the United Kingdom.
